Competition winners pitch tech innovations to map London’s utilities underground

Tech businesses in London had the chance to pitch their innovative solutions to an audience of organisations involved in providing infrastructure across the capital, including UK Power Networks, National Grid and Thames Water, at an event at City Hall on 7 June.

The innovators were winners of a challenge-led competition, run by the Mayor of London in partnership with BRE, aimed at bringing forward new forms of technology that could help the capital’s major infrastructure providers gain a shared understanding of the location and state of their underground assets.

Call for Tech entrepreneurs to help the capital’s major infrastructure providers map their underground assets

BRE, in partnership with the Mayor of London, is encouraging small businesses and entrepreneurs to develop new forms of technology that could help the capital’s major infrastructure providers gain a shared understanding of the location and state of their underground assets.

Winners of a competition announced today (18 March) will earn the opportunity to pitch their innovations directly to organisations involved in providing key infrastructure across the capital, including UK Power Networks, National Grid and Thames Water.

Competition winners pitched tech innovations to some of London’s biggest redevelopment projects

Tech businesses in London had the chance to pitch their innovative solutions to some of the highest profile redevelopment districts in the capital last Thursday. Winners of two competitions had an opportunity to pitch to members of the Smart London Districts Network, including representatives from organisations leading the redevelopment of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Elephant and Castle and Croydon.
